OKay, I have to think you are talking about this play, Mav...

Quote:
3rd and 6 at KC 31 (7:14) (No Huddle, Shotgun) A.Smith pass short middle to D.Bowe to 50 for 19 yards (A.Russell) [W.Horton].
Fish got instantly beaten around the edge by RDE.. he may as well have been on the bench. Allen did enough to keep the RDT away.. HUd was free and essentially did nothing.. watching the LG battle all the way and letting a LB right thru the A gap.. Fulton and Steph were both beaten quickly around outside shoulders by the LDT and LE. Smith stood in there and delivered, but paid a price... big hit from the RDE. Had that been a QB like Brees or Brady, flags would have flown for hit to the head or helmet to helmet.

Yeah. This was a run play. I can see getting beast on a pass play. But a run?

It happens. Fisher went to block him and ended up lunging instead of using his feet. Hardy just swept him off and made the play.

Fisher handled Charles Johnson completely fine when he went up against him, it's the big, lanky, and strong guys that he seems to have issues with.

That's why I worry about him vs Campbell and vs the Smiths.

Agree with most everything mentioned, but add:

Depressed: Chase Daniel by missing that sure fire TD. What a god awful throw.

He showed decent poise to start, then went full-Booger.

That throw was so bad I'd be absolutely fine if they just called timeout and then told him to go get his things, leave Arrowhead and never come back.

That throw was so bad he may as well have been in Arrowhead when he threw it.

Well, good thing "big, lanky and strong" isn't the prototype RE! And most teams don't fill their roster with that type of guy at that position.

"Maybe it is just the playoff hangover still lingering- but I have a feeling the chiefs are going to lay down like little bitches to the Panthers this weekend."

That was my prediction before the game and it was pretty spot on. I had very low expectations and still felt short changed.

Typical frustrating Chiefs game we suffer through for so long. Yes it is preseason and they looked like it.

Positives:
Alex played with more confidence and made some nice throws.
Abdullah- had a solid game- 3 solo tackles, a sack with 13 yards lost.
Mays- 3 solos and a sack for 6 yards lost that he had to double back for.
Gray- had some nice running-should make the team.
Succup- 54 yarder and a great kick off out of the end zone.
Kelce- nice TD for the second week in a row.
Bowe- made some nice catches and looked motivated.

Negatives:
DJ- only 1 tackle, missed pick 6 that hit his hands and pretty sure that was him that missed a tackle on the first Panther TD run.

Poe- did he play- oh yeah 1/2 tackle -maybe he is tired already-panthers had huge hole right up the middle to run-but even worse when he left the game.

Houston- 2 tackles I think. Seemed to be blocked well most every play.

Ron Porker-another HUGE penalty-did not turn and look for the ball once-seemed to change the momentum of the game. No tackles- 1 burn.

Fisher- might stay on the negative side all year-1 holding call but also a hands to the face from the Panthers.

Blocking in general was terrible- very lame attempts on several occasions cost us plays for losses.

Broadcast team was comical- when they weren't sucking Newton's slong and praising him by trowing 5 yards long on a big play-calling it a "close miss"- they were Hyping Alex as a top 3 QB of all time. At least they took turns blowing Randy Moss for what seemed like a whole quarter. Not a Moss fan but liked his bumbling commentary more then these jack offs.

As a bonus-I hate that head ref- have we Ever won a game with that ****ing asshole on the field. He Always manages to call a hold when we finally get a big play. 1 Panther penalty in the first half says it all. Chiefs played sloppy but not bad enough to have 2 penalties flagged every other play. Panthers O line got away with some blatant holds- but other than that-the game went just as scripted by the NFL and their new "Command Center" to make sure the refs call a fair game-LOL
