I just think Cleveland is one dimensional. Hopefully Weeden proves me wrong -- if so, TRich could be a solid pick. |

I think you can't go wrong with any three of them.
Right now I would rank them: Foster, McCoy, Rice. |

12 Man PPR League. Start 2 RB, 3WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 QB, 1 K, 1 D/ST
I drafted 10th spot in a snake draft. QB's went fast and furious - Big 3 gone by pick #4. Flame Away! QB: Ben Rapherberger (7th), Alex Smith (13th) RB: Michael Turner (4th), Peyton Hillis (6th), Isaac Redmond (8th), James Starks (9th), LaMichael James (14th), Mike Tolbert (16th) WR: Greg Jennings (1st), AJ Green (3rd), Marquez Colston (5th), Randall Cobb (11th), Kendall Wright (15th) TE: Gronkowski (2nd) D: CHIEFS, duh (12th) K: Seabass (10th)

I would never pick Jennings in the first with the way Rodgers spreads it around. Is this a keeper league? I just don't see how you pick Jennings at 10 over the possible RBs available, or even Jimmy Graham if it isn't. WR is also incredibly deep this year, while RB is embarrassingly shallow. Curious who you passed on to pick Jennings. Since the top 3 qbs went off the board quick, I assume a good back fell to you? Your backs are terrible, especially for ppr. I feel like you're going to be scrambling all year looking for production from that position. All your RBs are in a time share and don't help out much in the passing game aside from Hillis but I think he takes a step back in that department due to Jamaal. Turner is slowly being squeezed out of the equation in a pass heavy offense and ATL has said they will lower his carries. And Redman just isn't any good. Also not a big fan of picking a kicker or defense that early when you can fill up on your other positions. I do like the Ben pick/waiting on a qb in general. I like him a lot this year and qb is very deep so if you can't get one of the top 5 in the 3rd-4th range then I think it's much better to just wait and get a Romo, Ryan, Ben, Rivers, Eli, Cutler. I'm waiting on qb regardless this year but i do see the reasoning of picking the top 3 early. I just don't see any way that your team is competitive unless you just kill it on the waiver wire. Just my opinion. |

I didn't have a ton of elite backs left by the 10th pick, which is a tough spot to draft. Foster, Rice, McCoy, Forte, Calvin Johnson, Chris Johnson, and the 3 QBs were all gone. My logic was Matthews is glass (thank god, as he broke his collarbone 15 minutes after i made that decision!), McFadden is coming back from LisFranc surgery, Trent Richardson had surgery and is a rookie and on the browns, Jamaal is coming off ACL and will split carries, and I dont like MJD. Jimmy Graham ****ed his back up yesterday in practice, too. So the highest player I had at the time were WRs. Fitz or Jennings. I love Fitz, but I dont trust the QB(s?) or AZ defense to help him. I figure I'll have a lot more opportunity for points with Jennings and the Pack, even if its spread around. In the second, I had to go Gronk. Graham was injured, and the point advantage I will have over everyone else's TE's is immense, and could help to win tight games. 24 picks later, RB was scarce. Since everyone had loaded up at RB, i figured other position groups would go off the board, so I grabbed AJ Green - remember, we have 3 WR's + flex. I was able to get Turner in the 4th. Didnt have a ton of options, but I agree, not a stellar team. I feel comfortable that I did well considering how the board fell.

I think Rush was being too nice with his assessment of that team.

We have different outlooks in FF. I much rather swing for the fences on an elite talent and guy in a great situation but has injury concerns (McFadden, Matthews, Richardson) than play it safe and get a normal season that you would get out of Jennings, especially when you consider the depth at wr this year. Those guys can win leagues for you. Jennings isn't going to do that. I wouldn't go wr early this year except for Calvin but if I were give me Julio ten times out of ten over Jennings. Higher upside. I probably would have taken McFadden in that spot but if you asked me yesterday morning it might have been Matthews. |

I do not see McFadden performing well or even finishing the season.

So, you have the #7 pick overall. And you pick seventh each round.
You traded your fourth rounder last year. Does your mindset change with the first three picks? |

I'm pretty skiddish about WRs in round one. If I had to guess Megatron will be there. I know that's probably still a home run though.
Unless a RB like Rice or McCoy falls. Almost assuredly Rodgers, Foster, Brady, Brees will be gone. That leaves McCoy, Rice or Megatron there at #7. |
