Tony Romo rumor

Gotta ask what do you guys think? There are strong rumors we are interested. I would love it if we got AJ MCCaron from Bengals.

What do you guys think

I don't necessarily buy into that, even if I don't entirely dismiss it. Remember what time of year it is. Alot of smoke and mirrors go up now. It could just as well be a ploy to get teams to back off thinking they'll go QB early.

There really isn't a viable option (one that is younger and proven), so it's Romo or bust at this point. The kicker is how do you get out from under Alex's contract without killing your cap?

Can you really trade him? If so, to which team and what will you get in return?

If you do move him and find a way to get Romo, you MUST get a younger QB to groom. Foles? He's a guy, a journeyman and in this QB starved league, if he were worth a damn, he'd be starting somewhere already.

Either way --- KC has to get serious about the young QB, and that's in the draft. Unless, you go for a guy like Tyrod Taylor. Who knows if he has a higher ceiling than what he showed in Buffalo.

I don't know what's really wrong with him to be honest, and if I'm a KC fan... hell, I might prefer to go that route as opposed to Romo. Why not?

Romo offers absolutely zero guarantee of greater success with a much smaller window of achieving it and a much greater injury concern.

Many mock the two guys that Denver has, but Trevor proved to be every bit as productive as someone like Alex Smith. The jury is out on Lynch, but you can't honestly tell me those guys are worse than what KC has or worse off than guys like Taylor, Bortles...

Hell, if I'm KC, I think I'd rather take a chance on Cutler over Romo. Are they really that much different, other than the attitude department? Both are risky gunslingers.
Wait what? In what world is Cutler anywhere close to being as good as Romo? He's not even on the same planet as Alex Smith much less Romo.

Can you imagine the excitement in this place when we finally realize Alex won't be starting?
However that comes about.

Can't wait for Tigger's Im leaving forever thread.

I hope Alex comes here and starts an I'm leaving forever thread.

I understand the pessimism, bit you can't read into anything these guys say. Hell, we never know what Dorsey is doing. No way he's actually going to come out and tell anyone.

One is 3 years younger and not as damaged, is Romo better over his career - sure, but it's not like we're talking a huge margin. I made the comment looking at it from a what do you want in 2017 perspective?

I think there's more risk in Romo. I don't think there's any way you go for Cutler, by the way.. was just making the association between the players.

if the world was going to end and the only way for me to save it was to pick between Cassel or Cutler as the 2017 Chiefs starting QB ... I'd slice my own ****ing head off and let everyone else suffer the end of the world
