Throwing to a guy who has run after the catch ability in space is called a smart play. So now that doesn't count because it wasn't a 30 yard throw?

Seriously? I guess Joe Flaccos 4th down conversion against the Chargers last year that saved their season and jump started them on their run to the super bowl, shouldn't count either.

YAC still counts as a first down. The plays were DESIGNED that way.

I'm not giving ANY QB credit for throwing 5 yards short of the marker on third and long, sorry, and that goes for Flacco too.

Credit goes 100 percent to the receiver and the blocking.

Im not sure what we are getting at here. The design of the play, seemed to be having Avery crossing. Once he got the ball in his hands, its true that it was easy. but hell, why is easy a bad thing? If he throws it past the sticks, and its incomplete, its the same result if avery is tackled short.
