Funny how the defense managed to learn this new scheme quickly, yet the offense needs time to "gel." Change in coaching/scheme hasn't seemed to slow down Philly, Chicago or San Diego. They are scoring 26, 32 and 26 PPG, respectively. Yep, a lot of struggling on offense going on there. It's an excuse, and a poor one at that. |

Just stop whining all day and appreciate being 3-0. Maybe the offense improves and can beat playoff teams... maybe not, but your constant vaginal bleeding is premature and based on negative nelly speculation.

Just for my own curiosity, I pulled up the Colts... 30th in offense in 2011, 10th last season. Point production each quarter of the season -- 22.75ppg, 17, 26.5, 23. Luck's yards -- 302, 299, 298, 194.5. Not trying to cherry pick, there are tons of variables, there are probably examples showing the opposite, etc.... but, it's kind of what I'd expect. It's not that the Colts didn't improve, but their offense was what it was, like Alex Smith is who he is. I could be wrong, but I'd guess that offenses don't typically make huge improvements, mostly because there are so many variables -- who you play, injuries, play calling probably won't change dramatically, etc. They could improve in certain areas, sure, but if they keep winning with this style of offense, it's just another reason they aren't going to make any big changes.

*and I know this thread is all about trying to prove stuff, but my last post has nothing to do with that.... it would actually be interesting to see stats on teams that have made big strides within a season.

And then there's the last resort. "Appreciate being 3-0, quit whining" The last stand for a Niners fan who has no more excuses in the deck. No one is whining. No one is unappreciative of being 3-0. Hell, I'm driving 4 hours each way to see them play this weekend. Doesn't mean I'm unwilling to mention there are problems with the offense. And I'm certainly not going to sit here and make bullshit excuses for them. |

The offense will absolutely improve, while the defense continues to play at a historic level. Why? Because a bunch of San Francisco 49'ers fans said so. |

Good luck with being negative about winning. There were a bunch of 49er fans that were doing the same thing and they are having a total meltdown now that they're losing. They went from a Super Bowl contending team to a team that could be 1-3 after tomorrow. While the QB they exiled is 3-0 on a team that went 2-14 last year.

Again, for the eleventy-billionth time - it's OK to talk about the issues with the team and still be happy they are 3-0. Unless you are one of a handful of Niner trolls, then you make every excuse in the book. It's like someone kicked your dog or something. 10 -15 guys come to another team's board to blow sunshine, ice cream and puppy dogs up the ass of opposing fans? For a guy that isn't even on their team anymore? I've never seen anything like it. |

All that really needs to improve is the 7th worst OL. We have a rookie RT, a C coming off an injury the year before who has now started only 7 games in his pro career, and both guards have looked shaky as well. They get their issues worked out through playing time, and there's no reason this offense won't be far more efficient. (so long as key players like Bowe, JC, and Smith stay reasonably healthy)

Actually, I do get it. You came here to troll, realized that there's damn near zero moderation here, and decided to continue unchecked. I guess I should say thanks - for helping me realize that Patriots fans aren't nearly as bad as we made them out to be. |

Lol. You could be right, it might stay the same. I don't know. Just looking at Alex, he is passing more now than Harbaugh ever had him do, and his yards per game has been rising. The 277 is very high for him. If he keeps it up, IMO, you are already seeing improvement from his play last season in the here and now.
