Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

And if/when he does it?

What kind of team is Luck going to have when he gets his new deal? You know it's going to be huge.

Please, by all means, just let me know before the season when Luck is considered to have a good team around him so I can know whether or not it's Luck 1 on 53 or not

because it sure looks like he has a decent roster with a loaded offense, to me

but I'm sure that I'm just looking at things wrong and he's playing with 52 guys off the street

Colts will be in the AFC Championship game again this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the Superbowl.

Hey Hootie,

Alex beat Stafford, Eli, Big Ben and Brees in 2011, then Rodgers, Stafford, and Wilson the next year in 8 games before getting hurt.

Wilson is playing the same exact role Alex did in SF. He's essentially a game manager who plays that role better than Alex bc he is more accurate downfield and is far more lethal with his legs.

The moment that defense starts to crack the Seahawks are in major trouble. We saw it 3X last year.

SD
Dallas
KC

They rely on that defense first and foremost. 2-9 record when his team gives up 24 or more points.

He's not a franchise QB.

Wilson hasn't exactly had a plethora of receiving threats to win shootouts though so that's not surprising. They haven't really been an explosive offense, but they haven't had to be.

Game managers don't enter the league and rank in the top 7 in yards per completion three years in a row.

The moment a defense starts to crack for any team they are in major trouble. Do you not realize that every time New England has won a Super Bowl, it was because they paired up Tom Brady with a really good defense? Every time. Cowherd says it all the time. When Peyton won, his defense played very well. When Brees won, same thing. When Eli won two, yep, defense.

You'll be hard pressed to find many past Super Bowl champions who didn't also play really good defense.

The one year Aaron won? Yep. You guessed it!

If you're a Chiefs fan you already know the answer to this question regarding Andrew Luck.

if you're referencing the Colts/Chiefs playoff game and have concluded that's why Andrew Luck is awesome ... then ok man

just shows me you don't watch enough football

you can't give Luck a pass for the AFCCG and then conclude Russell is just carried by his defense when Russell played THAT SAME TEAM IN THE SUPER BOWL, watched Tom Brady carve up SAID VAUNTED DEFENSE, while Russell single-handedly kept them in the game in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, built them up a lead, and then even got them a yard away before the worst play call in history. He had a 92 QBR in that game. He was literally the only reason the Hawks had a chance. New England was clearly the better team and they had a 11% chance to win with 20 seconds remaining and won.

You're making excuses for Luck. So is everyone else. Luck has been awesome thus far in his career for a young QB. He hasn't been TRULY elite, and he hasn't been as good as Russell Wilson. Period.

People don't understand how amazing Russell was in that Super Bowl. That dude has "it". Just like Tom Brady has "it." I think Luck has "it", but I haven't necessarily seen "it" yet. I have from Wilson. All that dude does is win. He did it against Atlanta his rookie year. He did it against Green Bay in a game where he was flat bad for 3.5 quarters yet still showed what a winner he was ... and he did it against New England.

For a board obsessed with chokers and choking ... it's hilarious to me that a guy literally shows the clutch gene CONSTANTLY and he's just Alex Smith ... well, a slightly better Alex Smith.

You want a stat?

Russell Wilson is 5-0 in overtime games. This includes scoring a TD 3 out of 4 times (including the NFCCG against Green Bay) on the opening drive (since the rule change states that's the only way the opposition doesn't get a chance to tie/win). His team only punting once.

So in 5 overtime games ... Seattle has gotten the ball first 4 times. 3 of those times they scored a TD. They punted one time. The 5th game, the defense forced a punt, and then Wilson led his team down on the very next drive to an easy FG to win the game.

Yep. Not clutch at all.

5-0 in OT
6-2 in the playoffs (his QBR in these losses: 91 and 93)

His 2 playoff losses included him having the best 2nd half I've ever seen a QB have in the postseason against Atlanta. He led his team to a game winning TD drive with 30 seconds left and his vaunted defense let Ryan complete two ridiculous passes and Bryant hit a 50 yarder. And we all remember this past Super Bowl.

THIS BOARD HAS TOLD ME FOR 10 YEARS THAT TOM BRADY IS BETTER THAN PEYTON MANNING BECAUSE OF HOW HE PLAYS IN BIG MOMENTS.

...but now Russell Wilson is just a system QB propped up by a good team

and I'm doing the new QBR, which is out of 100

His two postseason losses

91 and 93

These are INSANE games. Just INSANE.

FOR REFERENCE, Tom Brady's record breaking year he posted a QBR of 87. In the Super Bowl this year, his QBR was 82. Those are RIDICULOUS games.

Russell?

91 and 93.

Anything over 60 is good.
