There's been such a magic about August 26 and great memories of the Royals. Brett went 5 for 5 in 1980 on August 26 to have his average peak for season at .407

Saberhagen throws no hitter in 1991 also on August 26

Now tonight - Royals would need to make the playoffs to make this HR really count and be a memory for years and years to come. But sure enough it happens on August 26

Not a historian at all. Just so happens I'm a diehard lifelong long suffering Royals fan and August 26 happens to be my birthday and very often Royals don't let me down on this day...

Disagree. I was never any more negative or positive than anyone. I believe I was firmly on the trade Shields/Holland bandwagon if a contender would give us an A's deal like the Cubs got...I also didn't freak out one bit when we stood pat at the deadline.
