That would be interesting after his "peak" comment. I'd love to see him in NASCAR, just to see how well he'd do, but I simply don't see it. Now, to see him move to WRC, THAT would be cool...
But I'm still stunned he'd just walk away from F1. There has to be more to it that just having won, that's a sweet life and I don't see a young man, or woman, just dumping it. I just wonder what that "something else" is... |

I am so sad...
I have been rooting for Nico for years... You just know when certain drivers come to F1 that they are champion material. I remember reading that Nico had won the highest number of races in F1 without winning a championship until this season. I think for him being a son of a former F1 champion, the pressure was enormous and at times he said that he had trouble sleeping. He also said that if he did not win the championship this year that he would have returned next season. I am so upset... just like that; he stunned the racing world, by announcing his retirement. Nico says that he would never race again because there is no higher racing series than F1. He also said that one day he would like to be involved with F1 but not as a driver. Now, I am left to start over - My pick, Max Verstappen, a 19-year old brilliant driver that drives every race on the edge with no fear and a bit of recklessness. I believe Max is a future F1 champion. Ugh, the growing pains starting with a new very young driver to root for - God help me...

He's married and I believe his wife recently gave birth.
He's lives in Monaco since he was a child - He could gamble, there is always that ...
