Rasmus is kind of anti-Royal player (as basically a three-outcome type player), but I don't think it's a bad idea. Biggest issue is that he's just not very good against LHP. You'd want to sit him most of the time against lefties.

He does have power, though, and he does draw walks. Just strikes out a bunch.

As for Cuddyer... I'm not looking at that as a huge money/years thing. If he commands that, I've got no problem staying away. But I'm pretty confident he's still a guy who can put up a .750-.800 OPS while playing a better RF than Willingham.

he's facing one of the premiere hitters in the AL

but Wade Davis does give us the best chance to get out of said inning with the lead still in tact
