For the most part, yes. Especially the passing distance percentages. I mean USC and WVU run a lot of screen passes yes, but it's because of the huge YAC their receivers put up. It's not like they are check down passes.

Wait a minute, Glennon's drop rate was 8.59. With the amount of attempts he had mixed with that percentage, that comes out to 65 dropped passes.
65 dropped pass this year JFC. I'm not a huge Glennon fan by any means, but his accuracy shouldn't be held against him. His WR's ****ed him over bad.

Nope, they run those to hide the deficiencies of their QB's. Plain and simple.

He can go on a 10 completion streak that has some damn nice throws mixed in and then miss on 9 of his next 10 throws and throw a couple picks in the process. If Andy Reid feels he can get him to play with any consistency, he would be a good pick in the second round. |

Actually dropped passes have been a huge issue with NC State.
IE http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/i...dropped-passes Zac Dysert actually had to deal with a ridiculous amount of drops also.

So, did Glennon's accuracy have anything to do with that or was it all on the WR's? |

Some of it yes, but when you watch the games, you see WR's drop perfectly placed balls.
Look at these horrible drops.

Especially the Geno guys. They have basically convinced themselves that he is perfect because they feel like he is the franchises only hope.

""Certainly you can't be happy with dropped passes," coach Tom O'Brien said on the ACC coaches call. "Once again, I think that's a matter of concentration. We had 10 on Saturday. We have a quarterback that threw for 460 yards. If you catch some of those passes, some of those are game-changing passes. He might have had 600 yards passing the ball." Indeed, Mike Glennon seemed to do no wrong against the Tar Heels last week, slicing and dicing his way to a career-high 467 yards while tying a school-record with five touchdown passes in the 43-35 loss. Bryan Underwood had yet another touchdown reception, but he also had at least one crucial drop. So did leading receiver Quintin Payton. "

Maybe it has to do with the fact that for every good throw that is accurate, he throws 2 that are wild and it's hard to get consistency from his WR's?
And Run, I think you need to update your sig. Weinke needs to be added in that quote. |
