I honestly think that for 2024, Zay Jones, Russell Gage, Mecole Hardman or even MVS would be more useful for us. And like I said, i think Richie James would be a stronger contributor in year 1. Thomas and Robinson are likely washed. I'd bring Renfrow in for a conversation if he'd come cheap.

Any of those guys are going to give us more in 2024 than I think Burks can.

I absolutely disagree about Hardman and MVS, but I'd be good with Zay. Not sure about Gage.

The Chiefs just don't appear to have any interest in the available free agents though.

So... we sending a 5th or a 6th rounder?

EDIT: Damn we sent a conditional 3rd and a 6th for Toney, maybe we learned our lesson.

Hardman and MVS are an acknowledgement of familiarity and Burks...uh...iffy practice tendencies.

Those aren't new - those go back to Arkansas and were a concern coming into the draft - that he just kinda does whatever and isn't someone that can really feel his way through a route.

Setting aside if he can physically do it, I don't think he's likely to be viable mentally this season - if ever.

As much as I was down on Toney for costing us two games all by himself last year and I wanted us to get rid of him, at least he has shown some ability. Maybe the idea to just put him out wide and not let him cross the middle so that if he drops balls again, they won’t hurt us is worth trying.

The games where I have watched the Titans over the last years, showed me that Burks had nothing. I would rather go with what we’ve got, even given the Rice situation.

I won’t plug for Hunter Renfrow again as I’ve already done that enough. I guess Z Jones would be OK. in the games, I saw him he always showed something and he certainly had tough competition for the ball in Kirk and Ridley which definitely limited his potential in my view.

Would rather roll with Jaaron Hayek, who likes like he could fit the Rashee Rice role

It’s an indication of how bad Trey Burks is

Yeah...I would bring in Zay Jones on a one year deal if you can get it.

Hollywood
Jones
Worthy
Watson
Toney
Moore

Once Rice comes back...you can kick Toney or Moore off of the team. If he doesn't then you at least helped fill his void while he was gone.

This is gonna be the KT redemption tour. Rice out and he steps into the void. I actually half believe that.
