The problem you are having evaluating Wolfe is that you are thinking of him as a DE because of where he lines up. Their scheme is more complicated than that. They can present a 5-2, 3-4 or 4-3 front using base personnel with some very basic transitions to fool the Offense. That D front is built around Von Miller. Everyone else is a role player in Del Rio's scheme. Of course having versatile and effective role players helps you, and they will always try to upgrade, but Wolfe is just doing his job.

I don't really remember anything about Tyson Jackson's play. I did get to watch Wolfe though. I'd say that Wolfe had a surprisingly effective rookie year.

No, not really. I don't care where he lines up. He doesn't pressure the passer consistently.

And yes, he's a role player...because he sucks at being a 1-on-1 pass rusher.

I understand, but I don't agree. He was the only one lined up near those two guys. The double team(which happens for 1 second) could have easily come from the fact that there was nobody else there to block. Once another player came into the vision of the center, he immediately left him. I just don't agree that the play shows an offenses need or desire to throw two blockers on him. It came out of circumstance.
