Chiefs are planning to retain Romeo Crennel and remove interim tag

AdamSchefterAdam Schefter
Chiefs are planning to retain Romeo Crennel and remove interim tag from his title. Move would be popular in the locker room.

Derek Anderson completed 44% of his passes. He had a 3 TD / 10 INT ratio. That was after an already horrendous 2008 season.

You can't defend this decision. At all. Defending his decision is beyond crazy.

That's just dumb.

I've never said that I thought we would do it, I just wanted to put out an untouched bit of info.

I'd be willing to make a sig or avatar bet that if RG3 falls to 7 or 8 that we make a move...but all the way up to 2 is a pipe dream.

Some of you only see in black and white and miss everything in the grey area.

Yea, most teams won't/don't

I'll bet you that if Luck or RGIII are there when we draft, Pioli does.

Scott wears the pants and the only time he's traded up was for a tight end. He's shown that he doesn't leave his comfort zone. If Griffin is there at 7 or 8 he won't trade up.

That's pretty conservative, given that there is absolutely no way that Cleveland and Washington will both pass up on him. Not to mention that I wouldn't be surprised if they both considered an aggressive trade up.

If either of those teams is aggressive, then we're out.

First off, I dont' think there is any way RGIII makes it to 7 or 8. Second, if he does there is no reason we shouldn't try and trade up to get him.

The only problem with RGIII is that he is gonna take some time to refine his craft. His footwork isn't the greatest sometimes. That said I'd trade up to 2 to get the guy because he could essentially be the best player to come out of this loaded draft.

IMO, the Skins would likely pursue Manning if he became available.

The problem is the Browns have those two first round picks to either trade up with or sit tight with.

Lesser QBs will rise because of need & not talent
Taking a 1st round QB just for the sake of it reeks of dumbassedness

I disagree. I think RGIII is the exact kind of QB Shanahan loves.

Untouched info? You have information that it was Romeo and not Savage who wanted Quinn?

RGIII has legit concerns to drop him into our range.

His talent is huge, he's a class act, but his frame/size does not fit his style of play in the pros...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I agree with all of this I never said he wouldn't be in the Chiefs range. What I said was Pioli will not trade up for a QB because it's not a safe pick.

You guys really think he falls into the Chiefs range?

There is no chance he gets by the Browns AND the Skins. One maybe, not both.
