I don't understand what the point of comparing what they did last year to this year.

Last year they beat the Thunder 4-1. How come you didn't say they'd beat the Spurs this year 4-1?

The point is that they've done the very thing you said they cannot do just last postseason.

The Heat winning 2 games in a row at home isn't exactly something out of the realm of possibility. Not sure why this is something in dispute.

What the **** does what they DID last year matter? Its about what they CAN do.

I never said "Heat in their history never won two in a row". I said that the loser of this game won't win two in a row.

The track record of teams/players shows what teams/players can do. Or do you deny that?

I see no reason to make such a definitive statement here.

What they did last year against the Celtics has NO bearing on what they'll do this year against the Spurs.

Hell, the track record so far the past 2 series is that they lose every other game. I'd think that tells us more about this team than what they did more than a year ago.

Why not? It's sports, predictions are made all the time. I've seen what the Heat have done the past two series. I don't think they'll win two in a row if they lose this one. Same with the Spurs. In this series, I don't think they'll win two in a row if they lose this one.

What a team did last year, or even in a previous series has no bearing on the current series.

The Heat are definitely capable f winning 2 in a row.

But it is not likely against this Spurs team.

It tells me quite a bit about this team's ability to win in back-to-back elimination games.

Agreed. And for the record, I picked the Spurs in 6. And I still believe that will be the result.

But would it be surprising to me if the Spurs won today and the Heat picked up their effort level and won the next two at home? Not at all.

10 point lead in the first just like Game 4. We'll see if Spurs can keep up the intensity.

So you're telling me athletes don't draw on past experiences at all in order to succeed? Give me a ****ing break with this shit.

They've won every single game when they've absolutely needed to. I don't see any reason to think they can't win two in a row of those.

A prediction is fine. But a definitive statement like that reminds me of something that jackass Skip Bayless would say.
