Why does ESPN love SD so much?

Is there some kind of tie in between the network and the Chargers?

**** them, and their shitbag HC.

I think Steve Young has it right. The Chargers believe their own press and think they're going to win without the effort.

You want to talk about effort? Look at Tamba Hali and Matt Cassel and Cory Greenwood and Andy Studebaker and Dwayne Bowe. That's why I love this team.

That pass and Breaston's moves to get the first down were uplifting. I was thinking about punting inside the 20 already, and Breaston and Cassel are getting the job done.

Indisputable evidence is what got me worked up. A QB during week one had the ball get knocked out of his hand and he pushed it forward for an incompletion.

Overall:
#1) The Phillips fumble was not a gift. The Chiefs had been harrassing him all day. The crowd was loud. Just like false starts aren't gifts...the fumbled snap wasn't a gift.

#2) The Chiefs had to fight for that ball. It doesn't much matter if he fumbles it if the Chiefs didn't get penetration and get on that ball before San Diego could secure it. It doesn't matter if the Chiefs don't fight for it and pull it away.

#3) Two fumbles of the Chiefs were not fumbles. I felt like the officiating crew sucked all around... but if that first fumble is called down like it should have been, I don't think the Chargers would have even been close in the game.

#4) Cassel throws high on purpose a good deal to give his guys the best chance at getting the ball. There were several drops that really hurt the Chiefs. As the game tightened, the drops increase, and Matt started pressing more. I like Baldwin, but he certainly isn't clutch just yet.

#5) I wanted McCluster cut by the middle of the third quarter.... three weeks ago. But, he was instrumental in overtime. I don't know why they don't just use him similar to Wes Welker.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I don't mind Dilfer (although I always chuckle at the idea that after winning a Super Bowl his team though Elvis Girlbac would be an upgrade), but I have always despised Young. My favorite Chief game of all time was the Young v. Montana game where DT nearly beat Young to death for a bag of ****ing cheeseburgers. Too bad he didn't hit him harder.
