Yeah. Even with a perfect chop it might of been a catch for no gain.

Hemmingway did nothing to pick and you can't block with Smith holding and waiting. Vontae Davis is in a spot to dive right at McCluster's legs.

Seriously what the hell was he doing. This is a quick WR screen and he takes 5 steps to get what should be 2 and throw in a head fake.

Albert is literally on his ass and Dexter is just planting and turned and starting to come across the field.

What RG III needs is discipline from a Head Coach QB guru who knows how to put him in his place and just develop him.

QB development is critical and it looks like RG III is not getting the development he needs.

Jim Harbaugh has tied Colin Kaepernick's feet to get him to stop running out of the pocket, and to develop him as a pocket passer because he will flop if he doesn't become a proficient pocket passer.

Shanahan was a great choice to develop RG III, but Griffen went over his head to the owner. He should never have been allowed back into the lineup to play when he re-injured his knee terribly. Now he is on his way to being another Mike Vick -- a running QB who is not being forced to become the elite pocket passer he is capable of becoming.

It is really sad. It is a darn shame RG III did not go to the Rams after all, because Fisher would have done a better job of turning RG III into a genuine pocket passer and their would be no going over his head to cry to the owner.

I don't even know how long RG III will play if he keeps it up running out of the pocket and up field the way he does.
Lies. The 49ers list the nfccg because the Seahawks made kaepernick become a pocket passer. That wasn't Jim. And Kaepernick failed. 3 Turnovers as a pocket passer. He is going to have to stay in the move to win. I'm nut sure he will ever be good enough to win from the pocket. He just doesn't recognize defenses quick enough.

Your forum is stuck with this morass for now. It is not pretty and I'm sorry to see it, but just damn glad that Alex is gone and it is not our forum still going to war over this mediocre guy. It will just get worse the longer he is here because he is just good enough to break your heart, so he will drive a wedge through the middle of the fan base.

Sorry to see it repeated here after years of it happening on the 49ers forum.
Yet your Dumbass is here taking about Alex Smith.

By the way. Have you taken Kaepernick's dick out of your mouth long enough to realize that he is just good enough to break your heart?

Super bowl loss because of him, nfccg loss because of him.

Go back to your precious niner boards and gloat in your awesomeness. Let the lowly chiefs fans wallow in their own pity.

Why the **** should I like Alex Smith?

He's the same type of QB the Chiefs have been trying to reinvent the wheel with for the last 30+ years, and guess what? It has yet to work.

But it's easy for someone like you to sit back and enjoy shit players like Smith because you are a fan of half the teams in the NFL.

First off, the 49ers did not lose the Super Bowl or last year's NFCCG because of Kaepernick. That's ****ing stupid.

I've also wanted to correct the whole "Alex Smith was a fumbled punt away from a Super Bowl" nonsense as well.

I don't hate Alex Smith. That game, him and Eli both had MULTIPLE drives where they could've put something together and they both failed leading to multiple punts with the game on the line. If Kyle Williams fielded that punt, there is absolutely no saying that Alex Smith suddenly would've driven them down to win the game, he had already failed multiple times and had done so pretty atrociously (granted, he had absolutely no time to do anything as the Giants pass rush was fierce).

Here is a link to that games drive chart: After the 49ers tied it up with a FG with 8:34 left, here were the following drives for both teams:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/drivechart?gameId=320122025

NYG 3 and out
49ers 3 and out
NYG 3 and out
49ers 3 and out
NYG 5 and out
49ers 3 and end of 4th quarter

OT

49ers 3 and out
Giants 5 and out

Kyle Williams fumble

So the 49ers had 4 straight 3 and outs...

but had Kyle Williams fielded that punt suddenly they were going to drive the ball down the field and win the game????

Yeah, no. That whole "Kyle Williams muffed punt away from a SB" thing is a total myth.

Except for the fact that the first muff led to a Giants TD and the lead. Before that muff, Eli & Co. were doing jack shit.

I read for a while and then started skimming.

The REAL reason the Chiefs lost.. no wait... the two REAL reasons the Chiefs lost that playoff game is law of averages and physical science. There was a fumble at the goal line that bounced right back to Luck and he scored. It doesn't fit nicely into an agenda, but what are you going to do?

Genobator butthurt and the solid logic of Carlotta. I wonder what CP would be like if the Chiefs had drafted Geno with that number one pick. There oughtta be a thread.

So three turnovers in one quarter by one player doesn't constitute losing a game, but two turnovers by special teams both of which resulted in giants points somehow reflects back to alex Smith? Really hootie?
