Because he mixes up his pitches, changes timing, and keeps hitters off balance by hitting the inside and outside corners. He changes the eye-level of the hitters with his high fastball and curve ball, and does all of this with near perfect control.

Unless you get a mistake or his control is slightly off, you're not hitting him unless you guess the correct pitch and the location.
