I put the personnel responsibility/credit on the GM and generally the won-loss credit on the HC.

Dorsey's record so far sucks bad IMO

But let's go with giving the GM credit for wins.

Is your goal to win enough games to be competitive, 10-6, 9-7?

If so you should be happy, just like the kid that is happy with second hand shoes. I want new shoes, but Clark wants the team competitive so he can have Arrowhead full with the fans having hope to make the playoffs.

I really believe that Alex Smith was Reid and hunts call.

If you're the gm asked to build around Alex Smith, what do you do? You build a solid defense, rbs, and tes. The defense was number 2 despite missing several critical starters. Our running game adding knile Davis and Sherman makes our backfield the most lethal in football. And we have a solid group of tes.

We went 9-7 against a brutal schedule. Imagine if we had a full cast. Imagine if Alex Smith played aggressive. The team surrounding Alex Smith is pretty solid and they're very good when at full health.

How can you possibly evaluate 2 years?

2 winning seasons mean very little at this point, but to say he sucks is just bitching for the sake of bitching.

Really? He had the #1 overall and so far it looks like a bust. A GM should be fired for that alone IMO
I must admit though, Dorsey had 2 strikes and a foul tip with me when he made the Alex Smith trade. Of course Pioli did the same thing, but I wasn't as pissed off then.

IIRC, the last time the Chiefs had serious cap issues was over a decade ago

By the way, Alex Smith was bad even when the Chiefs went 9-0 last year. Same line. Same receivers as the end of 2013. Coincidence? Nope. Alex Smith stops playing aggressive when his defense plays well. That's a shitty mentality that needs to stop.
Completely disagree with you on the O-Line part. KCs O-Line in 14' was void of talent and often shifting. You had Fisher moving from right to left, Allen going down in the first game playing RT when most of camp he spent playing LG. Stephenson suspended and never regained form, add in a mixture of players like Ryan Harris, Mike McGlynn, and Jeff Linkenbach who were begging for a job. The O-Line was absolute dogshit in 14' and in no way comparable to 13' talent wise or in a manner of consistency.

Same goes for the WR position. Avery played well in 13' and made some clutch plays throughout the year. He never got out of the gate in 14'. Hemmingway had a better year overall in 13' and McCluster made plays out of the backfield and in the slot (I know I know but 500+ receiving yards). I agree on the addition of Kelce, but Avant was signed LATE and Wilson/DAT weren't even a consideration until midseason at best.

Do you think he would have sucked as bad with Brandon Albert still playing LT?
Yeah, I know he got hurt playing for the Dolphins, but that doesn't mean it would have happened if playing for the Chiefs.

So if we give Dorsey credit for the improved regular season WL record does that mean he also gets the blame for losing a playoff game with a 4 TD lead?

I will go one farther and said it many times. I think AS, or equivalent was Hunts call and a condition of Reid getting the job. I think it is an ownership mandate that this team doesn't spend a 1st on a QB. The history backs me up and two GMs in a row have made the same move as their first move.
It isn't coincidence.
