Don't believe there's a dedicated thread, and since they're starting to release information now, I figure it's time for one.

I wish I could. I just can't ever enjoy rolling an evil character. You don't have to be Sith to be leet skeet in PvP, you could one of the few good guilds among the inevitable sea of ****tards on the rebel side.

Was the empire really that evil? There were a couple of evil men, but all they wanted to to do was to subjugate the population with fear. They created millions of jobs expanding the galactic empire, and those within the inner rim flourished.

Don't hate.

You've got that backwards if the TOR forums are any indication. The sith look like the 'popular' side.

Friends from lotro and I are rolling Alliance...

(I'll play both, the game's going to be too good not to experience every class)

The TOR forums are probably for people who are going to be hardcore into the game and as a result will be good, I would think. I'm talking about the general populace when I say 'the sea of ****tards', here. I hope I'm wrong.

I tend to look at it backwards. The "good" players are the ****tards to me. I'd rather play with 1 good person that I maybe have to teach some things than a thousand elitist assholes who think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. And I think all the elitist assholes will be flocking to the Sith. Not to mention all the griefer sociopaths.

That's why we're rolling Alliance...

Good point. Are you guys rolling on a PvP server? And yeah, Saul is a self-acknowledged griefer, so not really a suprise he's going Sith.

I don't think we've thought that far ahead. My guess would be that we won't. I would assume you can still flag for PvP on a PvE server, and that's always been good enough for me. I tend to run solo a lot, and that's problematic if you're always flagged.

And I should probably qualify that my statement wasn't about saul or anybody I know here. I haven't played with you guys. But I spent years in WoW and I'm in one of the preeminant raiding guilds in LotRO. The fact is I don't even log in sometimes because I don't want to have to listen to the assholes in the kin. They get things done, which is great, but they're not the kind of people I want to hang out with very often. Very into themselves, they grief other players in the Moors (that's PvP in lotro), they give new players a really hard time until they prove how good they are. Just the whole elitist attitude. And they're all rolling Sith.

Griefer sociopaths are fun. Unfortunately griefing is tough these days in MMO's, they kind of closed it off and made them care-bear.

Elitest assholes in an MMO flat out suck. I don't want to get yelled at because I stood in the wrong place during a fight. I don't want to argue about who gets what items, raid slots, DKP, etc.

Really? If you keep standing in the wrong place why don't you deserve to be yelled at? The whole point of raiding is to beat hard mechanics of the fights. Most seem to think the norm is to outgear the fight and gear past the mechanic.

The whole point of the game is to have fun - not to be yelled at.

Dumbass.

The mechanics aren't necessarily hard, either. They are just scripted, and boring.

Fun is what dungeons are for. Raiding was set up for the more hardcore originally. But even without raiding or fun you yourself have stated you suck at the game and the only reason is you don't want to be yelled at for ruining it for everyone else.

And if they are not hard why can't your dumbass move?

Do you get mad if your team yells at you for going 3-20 in cod because you refuse to group up?

Everyone has caused a wipe before. Every single player of WoW that has raided has done it, no exceptions.

Some treat it like life and death, others will say "no problem man, we will try again tomorrow night."

That's all i'm saying.

You can be hardcore without being a douchebag. It doesn't have to go hand-in-hand.

That is fine. No argument. You originally made it sound I stand in the fire and wipe the raid. I am there for fun while everyone else is trying and I don't like getting yelled at. I apoligize if I might of took it wrong.

I agree everyone ****s up, I took it as I **** up all the time while competing and don't like getting called out.
