I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149
Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition! No one else started it so here it is! **From the 2013 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

Right? Pushing ten plates like nothing. Leg day is easy day...

I guess I still don't get why a large muscle group means pain. You can make yourself sore with any workout. Why is it specific to leg day? Improper programming?

I would squat and deadlift every ****ing day if I could over God awful bench pressing. I love pulling heavy weight from the floor. No better feeling. Just have to be careful with how much recovery you need before going to a heavy squat session after deads. I did back squats, box squats and Leg Press today. First time I have done leg press in about a year. I normally throw in RDLs or GHRs on this day but all that shit was taken and I wasn't waiting around.
I'll deadlift heavy on Friday along with Paused Squats and good mornings.

Speaking of leg day, I was getting ready to finish my last set of calf curls, taking no more than 30 seconds to 1 minute in between sets( 3 total ), when one of the trainers came over and motioned to the machine.
I held up my finger indicating "1" set, and this little punk had the ****ing temerity to give me a "chop-chop/hop-sing"-hand-clap in an effort to hurry me along so that he could get his trainee on the machine to do ONE ****ING SET. I've never wanted to tell anyone to ****-off so hard in my recent existence, and I sincerely hope that he got the ****ing message as we exchanged looks on my way out the gym.

Gained 7 oz. this week. Grrrrrrrrr. Had a great workout week, including a bike ride Saturday where I biked 18 miles and climbed over 1,600 feet in altitude.
Had a less than ideal eating day yesterday, pretty good today considering it's my birthday and everyone's shoving food at me. Will not deviate yet, gonna stay focused and see if it breaks, or if I'll need to retool things a bit. |

Because its hard work and 90% of these douches in the gym want the travel on easy road, hence all the kids juicing in their 20's. I've never seen so many juice heads that can't squat 315 parallel in my life.

I'm liking bench. Probably because it's something that I know I need to work on, thus it's a weekly goal of trying to do better. |

No, I did my last set and got on. But I believe I let it be known that that was the first and last time that shit will ever go down again.

Are crunches and things of that nature a waste of time for someone who still has over 20% body fat? What are some good ways to lose belly fat?
