Alex has the arm to make throws. He's just overly cautioius which isn't a bad thing. It just limits him. There are a good few things he does well. He just has to work on the other stuff.

Especially with guys that I wanted the 9ers to pick up and with a player in Jenkins that was with him on the 9ers. The OL is still trying to gel and I think that will happen soon. If your point is to evaluate his entire career, like you would a retired player, then sure, you want to look at everything.

If your point is to try to predict the performance of an active player, well, then I would say looking at what he did the last two years under a new coach would probably be more more help in predicting what will happen now, than what he did as a rookie through 2010.

Throghout his career even with Harbaugh he has never been a big passer. I don't expect him to be a big passer in KC either.

Was Rich Gannon the same quarterback in Oakland as he was in Minnesota and KC? Nope. He trended up and ended up as he went being quite good in Oakland.
