He will take NLTBE incentives - just not a deal that's like, over 50% those.

I can see something like base $13M guaranteed with a chance to make another $6M in NLTBE incentives.

If I'm going to give him a deal that might give him $19 million, I want it to be a 2 year deal so I can get additional benefit to my bargain in 2025 if needed.

That's too much possible outlay on a 1 year pact, IMO.

Good luck getting the player and his agent to take a 2-year deal though. It would be so in-between and they aren't gonna guarantee both years anyways.

I think it's either one year or three.

Because a lot of good CB's have been traded for that in the last few years. Sneed wants to get paid so trading for the right to pay someone also turns teams off.

A lot of this comes down to Sneeds value, if you think he's a top 10 CB then it might be smarter to just let him play a year on the tag and walk away since you're going for a 3 peat.

If you take an OT in the late 3rd and he ends up doing nothing more than being a solid swing OT for 4 years, that's more than most will actually get from their 3rd round picks.

A legitimate swing tackle is more valuable than some starting positions I would say. Genuinely.

If Wanya is nothing more than a rock solid swing tackle for four years that takes the stress off of needing both your tackles to stay healthy all year, that's a good pick.

He started a few games then got hurt. Then Donovan Smith finished the season. That's why good depth is so important.
