I'm seeing it on Twitter. On my phone and can't link. One of his fans says he ran over someone on a yellow and should be arrested for it.

Does anybody hear Tony's engine revving in this video? I could have swore I did in the original video, but in this one I hear the blue car rev and speed up after its passed Ward. Somebody please watch and tell me whose engine they hear.

I think you are right. This video makes it seem like the revving engine was the car that just passed. That changes things considerably, IMO.

The camera is quite a distance from the action. I couldn't hear the actual wreck, so isn't it likely that the revving engine sounds come from one of the cars closer to the cameraman?

Tonys car lerches to the left not from a evasive move, but from running him over. You have to realize that Sprint cars are direct drive from engine to rear end, have one gear ratio and it's 1:1. So whatever RPM that engine just turned that tire just multiplied it.

Tony did not intend to hit Ward, but he did.

I've been in these cars on tracks. You can see the wrecked cars and workers.

People are saying the guy was on foot. Well every safety worker that comes out under caution is on foot too how often do they get hit and die? and I understand they aren't confronting the cars but tony was riding high for no reason. Why? Workers could just have easily have been moving around in that area trying to help an injured driver, most with their backs to the cars

Stewart had no business running that high other than to go right by the guy.

The driver is fairly protected in his car, my bigger issue is the safety workers. He knew they would be getting there even if ward had stayed in his car.
