Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Walthers are tight little guns. I'd like to own one but they are pricey. I had a friend who had a little Walther 9mm and that little piece was nice...

The Walther is a nice little pistol.
A lot louder than my other guns of the same caliber. Pretty accurate right out of the box too. Big plus there. Like the fact that it comes with an interchangeable grip piece to beef up the grip if you need to (not as many combos as the HK, but still pretty cool that they do that) |

Having an absolute blast with the Ruger 10/22 Takedown and the Colt Woodsman lately.
That target was all woodsman pistol at about 20 yds. Still getting used to the Walther. It's definitely different than what I am used to. |

Yeah, it's an 08 Teryx. Haven't had any real issues with it.
Wish it had fuel injection like the newer models tho. edit: I do love the hell out of it. Great work/fun vehicle. Throw a chainsaw in the back and off to the mountains to get firewood. I've actually pulled a toyota tacoma out of a ditch with it too. Last edited by dred; 03-31-2013 at 12:06 PM.. |

I'm a n00b when it comes to ARs and builds but I'm going to build my first one here soon...a buddy of mine told me I could build a decent, functioning one for about $600-700...is that reasonable?
I'm not looking for anything extravagant off the start...kinda just wanna do a generic build if you will from the start and then piece together and add on as I go. Any help would be highly appreciated... |

Would like to see some good chest rigs.
Decided to go with a Condor MCR1 Molle Style Chest Rig with a couple kangaroo double pouches for starters. Curious if anybody else has a cool setup I can get some ideas from for other pouches and holster mounts. |

Frazod is right. You picked a HELL of a time to start getting into an AR.
I have seen prices come down just a tad in the past few weeks.... from "omfg you have to be on crack" to "man that is just stupid". You could start buying bits and pieces if you catch any "decent" deals that aren't ridiculously insane. Sounds like your buddy might be able to help you with that. Ammo is a whole different beast. I'm hoping things settle down by Summer. |

Not quite double, but bad enough - Bud's has my AR (at least what my AR used to be) for $1,100.

I hadn't looked on gunbroker for a few months. Last time I looked was January and 1k rnds of 9mm brass was around $400, alittle high. Now its 1k for $500-700. What is wrong with these idiots buying this stuff at these prices. I need ammo to practice for work, use to go once a month for training. I've been to the range once this year, early January and only shot 50 rnds to qual.
The department had to hold off on rifle school due to ammo shortage. |
