Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I can understand that. Plus, if you live in Missouri, you have to pay sales tax even though the only "brick and mortar" building they have is a warehouse and some kind of sales office. You can't walk in and buy anything they sell on the website and you still have to pay tax on internet sales. Doesn't make sense to me.

Any of you guys know anything about Tri-Star shotguns?
Kind of in the market of an inexpensive Semi Auto or perhaps an O/U. Would mostly use for some casual skeet shooting. I had never heard of them but ran across some reviews that seemed very positive for the money. |

I also know some guys who bought them as youth guns for their kids thinking they wouldn't be out much after they out grew them. Another guy bought one for his wife to see if she was going to stick with it before buying a nice gun. All did their job, but never seen much use. They're a bang for the buck gun, but not something I'd buy for serious use. They fit the occasional use or introduction to the sport niche quite nicely though. If you're buying expecting to upgrade later, expect a bigger loss when you sell on the used market as compared to buying a more established brand. |

Thanks. Went down and paid it off today. Started up the old background check and came home. (since I knew I would be on delay for a couple hours minimum)
Plan to pick it up on the way to my buddie's place tomorrow where we plan to site in all of my rifles and new scopes. Going to be a fun day of shooting. |

Just got my 14.7" Palmetto State Armory upper in. I still need to get a Troy battle rail and low profile gas block on it before I pin it to make it legal to shoot.

Went to Cabela's, and had to resist the urge to buy a pistol.
I was eyeing a brand new Gen 3 and Gen 4 G19. The Gen 4 felt a little better, but cost $50 more. They both had the dark earth frame and black slide. Sharp looking pistols, but not everybody digs the two-tone look. I was also looking at a few Sigs(P226, P250, Mk 25) and a Beretta 92. |
