Andy Reid on Mike & Mike: "Alex is our quarterback by the way"

Don't want to read too much into the conversation but just watched Andy on M&M this morning and he made it clear that Alex was the QB. Mentioned that he could still play, was at the Pro Bowl (), and can do all the things he wants his guy to do.

In essence, we can put any talk of Tony Romo, Nick Foles, or any other retread to bed. But, they did talk about college system QBs briefly (no one specific), and he said that as long as they feel like a guy can learn, it is their job to transition a college system QB and that it doesn't effect their decision on which type to take.

So, will we draft a QB? Idk, my bet is on yes since Foles is apparently gone.

Me being a level headed moderator isn't going to hinge on you. Trust me on that.

And no my definition of a troll has nothing to do with someone's opinion.

I dont know that I've ever agreed (at least not much) with splatbass or laz or brc (just to name a couple that jump to mind) but none of those guys are anywhere near a troll IMO.

Clay, on the other hand, I label a troll. And I agree with a lot of what he says.

So there you go.

This is a Smith thread that led into discussion about the offense...and throughout the last several posts I've only provided objective data, most of which is not repeated. Not sure how this can be classified as trolling but I have yet to have a mod message or call me out in a thread telling me I'm out of line.

If I'm the douchebag with how I express my arguments, what do you call the people who follow me around and spam the threads with "uncle, cock******, blackbob, tigerupper****" or takes Clay's gifs and spread them continually over different threads...so that's not being a douchebag? Why don't you call those pricks out?

Just curious.

IMO he's scared he will get banned, and he has seen how the board reacts when it isn't warranted and is setting up a defense beforehand.
Sauto is picking on me. (Not realizing that's not how its really even going to work with banning anymore)

I think he needs to concentrate on the reason even people that agree on his points think he's a troll and try to change that and he won't have anything to worry about.

Let's stick to the topic at hand.

You twisted those stats to fit your "he's only going up" narrative.

Just admit it and move on.

I'm trying to just let you know why people think you are a troll.

I'm trying to help you here man...

I only post on CP heavily in the fall/winter time. I work 40-50 hours a week and can even post while at work on my phone when I'm not with a patient. You take CP away and I'm still going about my business accordingly and would probably read more than I have been.

I've just found it satisfying to provide the facts on a board that is heavily skewed towards hating one position out of 22 starters. Despite the previous mods not being around frequently, I at least appreciate their level-headedness in not caving to the mob calling for bans against people who carried different view points.

TD rate is the same, sack rate is down 40 percent, completion % is up, QBR is up...not sure how why he should be the scapegoat when there are positions that have clearly regressed (total sacks (ranked 4th -> 28th) , run defense, rush ypc, total rush TD's)

I've already stated this multiple times, once more.

You are twisting the stats, posting them multiple times(I guarantee you've said the total td thing multiple times in the last week) then talk down to people that point out the real facts.

It's the same thing clay does. You say he's a troll. You are too. Imo.

Don't be a troll, no one really likes a troll.

That's not the point of this conversation, we are talking about total tds...

Remember? And once again they weren't "identical" comparing 15 to 16.

You can take all those "facts" and shove them up your ass. My eyeballs tell me Alex Smith is mediocre. What my eyeballs have seen is elite quarterbacks Aaron Rogers, Drew Breese , Tom Brady, Peyton Manning (sucked last year but was gifted a SB) to a pretty darn good quarterback in Eli Manning Russell Wilson and the difference that drops down to Alex Smith.

Just watching him play is all I need to see that he is mediocre caliber and not going be good enough to smell the Super Bowl. Now there are exceptions he could Trent Dilfer his way and Rex Grossman made it with defense but he had a deep ball too. Alex Still doesn't get the job done. There are others like Joe Flacco and this year Matt Ryan I wanted to draft.

Alex Smith isn't on par with those guys and the only stat I care about for proof is the playoff record 2-6. I'm not impressed. Nothing Alex Smith has done has impressed me to the point to convince me that we should stick with him. He will have a good couple of quarters a game but that's what you get out of him. Not consistent can't count on him to make plays to win the game. He had to count on special teams and defense to provide points most of the season.

For the record I don't want you band nor anyone else but relax and think to yourself what's best long term that's going to win a Super Bowl for the Chiefs because thinking long term is going win us a Super Bowl quicker than going on with Alex Smith excuses.

We can build a team and fix areas for improvement with a stable quarterback at the helm. Do you agree?

Guess what else?

I'm going hate the very next retread quarterback we get. Unless we draft him I'm going hate him.

*Now if that retread happened to be Luck then I maybe able to alter that hate but he is young enough and still ready to be in elite prime for a long time provide he stays upright most of the seasons. I still want a developing quarterback from the draft.
