1 week after a billionaire imploded 5 people, another is set to take people to space.
A deal at only $450,000 per person!

--- Now... Richard Branson was also looking into carbon fiber hulls for submersibles but to his credit he scrubbed the project. He also has a lot more regulations to follow than the people at Oceangate since they were operating out of international waters. While there is a Space Force in existence... they really can't do much ATM in terms of search and rescue. |

If the government would just share all of the zero gravity technology no one would have to be doing anything like this.

With a submarine, at least you'll get underwater before you die and then when you do die, it'll be instantaneous and painless. With spaceflight, you can and likely will just be burned alive on the launching pad like the crew of Apollo 1. RIP Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee. Give me the water.

I guess it's what you're into. I'd personally risk dying in space than seeing some sunken boat. I'll be recovered in two thousand years or so in space, or'd i'd fall back into the atmosphere and burn.
Since I'm not rich I can't really say whether I would or not, but I'd risk space over water. |
