Will you be getting a 3rd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine?
* If you haven't gotten a COVID vaccine and have no intention of doing so
* If you are anti-vaccine
* If you are just going to stir up shit

.... please just go to the DC and discuss your opinions there.

For those of you left.... What are your thoughts on a 3rd dose of the vaccine 8 months after your second jab? There seems to be very limited data on this at the moment, other than a bit of info out of Israel that shows a 3rd jab of the mRNA vaccines shows an increased level of antibodies. But from my understanding, they're only using Pfizer.

This obviously leaves a lot of questions regarding Moderna and Johnson and Johnson. I'm not even sold on the idea of a booster being needed for all ages.

What are your thoughts?

I will be getting the 3rd vaccine when it is my time. I work in retail pharmacy. I have lost 3 people who work in my store one of which was my partner pharmacist. Never lost a single coworker to the flu in my 24 years. I will do what i can to try to mitigate my risks.

Most likely, yes. Right now you'd have to tell them you are immunocompromised, but it's not like they're going to ask to see proof of such condition.

Undecided. I am in talks with my GP and throat surgeon at UCSF as to determine if I am truly compromised due to my past throat ca even though I am in remission currently. I am deferring to a team of folks smarter than I am on these things lol.

Are you saying a strong immune system doesn't protect the body from viruses? My doctor has always advised a flu shot, as do all doctors I'm sure. Never got one and only had the flu once when I was 12-13 and once in my late 20's.

I've only had strep once in my life as well, and rarely ever even get a cold. I've called in sick once in my life, and missed only 3 days of school from K-12...I think my immune system has done a pretty damn good job so far.

Then I go and give in to the vaccine-shamers, and had three days of feeling like absolute ass after my 2nd dose. Luckily I got it on a Fri morning and was already off the following Mon or I definitely would have broken my no call-in streak. The worst part though is I haven't really felt right since...noticeably more fatigued than normal, intermittent headaches and just..off. Maybe there's something else going on and its a coincidence, I dont know.
