*** Official MVP watch thread***

I think Mahomes is now in the drivers seat for MVP. Wilson opened the week as the favorite but after two more interceptions and a loss Mahomes will likely move in front on the odds.

Rodgers and Brady are also clearly in the conversation. Not sure anyone else is really in play for it at this point. I know Wilson has been the sympathy pick but with all of his turnovers this thing is definitely now Mahomes award to lose.

Mahomes needs MVP so he can become the first player to win MVP and Super Bowl MVP in 20 years.

I want to see him stomp on NFL history.

I saw someone mention it earlier, but Mahomes is starting to get the LeBron treatment. Meaning He makes the extraordinary look ordinary simply because he does it very game.

Winning Regular season and Super Bowl MVP awards in the same season would be the perfect coronation for his first three seasons starting.

Russell Wilson had 4 times as many turnovers today as Mahomes has had all season.

Mahomes is the no brainer MVP currently.

Ummm...

4x0=0

4x1=4

So Wilson had 4 more turnovers than Mahomes, not 4 times as many.

Lamar Jackson was last years let that sink in to the worth of MVP to the players that play the game and vote. They don't count the playoffs for season MVP .

Mahomes should end up with 44-46 passing TD's and 4 Rushing- if he ends up 14-2 with less than 4 INT's- that is an MVP season.

Rodgers should have similar numbers. So it will be close.

Wilson will have too many turnovers by the end of the year.

There would be a precedent for Mahomes' efficiency to win out over Wilson's volume from back in 2011.

Brees threw for nearly 5,500 yards with 46 TDs and and 14 INTs leading NO to a 13-3 record. Rodgers went for 4,600 yards with 45 TDs and 6 INTs leading the Pack to a 14-1 record in 15 games. The award ended up going to Rodgers.

Obviously it'll depend on how everything plays out with lots of football left to be played, but Mahomes needs to continue his insane efficiency and end up 14-2, 15-1 and I could see him winning MVP even if Wilson crosses the 50 TD mark.

Rodgers is one to watch for sure. 24 TD with 2 INT in only 8 games.

Russ is an old fart. His time has passed.

We are walking over the NFL like Terminators over a dead land strewn with human skulls.

The War Against The Mahomes cannot be won.
