Posted this elsewhere already, but Spotrac has a market value calculation for Ford of $11.2m per year, based on a 5 year contract ($56m total)

I have no idea how accurate their calculations have been in the past.

$11.2m per year, I would take that, try and push some of it back until Houston is off the books.

I remember when not too long ago the CP mantra was Clark is cheap and we never pay anyone top$$ etc...

If he'd take that, and if we can structure it in a way we could get out of it after 3 years, I'd do it. We can't be giving him $15m+ though, and I'm afraid that's what he's gonna be asking for.

Good interview - worth the listen. I do hope we can find a way to keep the guy, but I'm definitely wary of giving injury-prone players big contracts. Guess we'll see.
