Jags Players Detained in London over Bar Bill

Four Jacksonville Jaguars players were detained at a London nightclub early Saturday morning because of a dispute over the bill.

According to Mike Sullivan of The Sun, the players ran up a £50,000 bar tab and attempted to leave London Reign Showclub without paying.

The players were confronted by security and then taken into custody by police. They were released after reportedly being in custody for nine hours.

Per Brent Martineau of CBS47, the Jaguars confirmed the incident in a statement, saying, "We are aware that four of our players were detained over restitution of a bill. The matter is being resolved and the players are with the team. Any discipline will be handled internally."

It hasn’t been 2.2-1 since the early 80s. It did briefly touch 2-1 around ‘08, but 8 years ago it hovered in the 1.65-1 region. For that matter, while Brexit did have a short term effect on the currency exchange rate, it recovered and has now resumed its slow decline that started around 2014.

High end or not strip clubs are known for padding their bills. On top of that London is an expensive ass city. Some street hawker or cab driver could’ve been getting a kickback for bringing these guys to the club. The players were probably used to paying Jacksonville prices and got pissed off when they saw the bill. Throw in a lot of drunken testosterone and shit happens.

I couldn't agree more. This team has become very undisciplined, starting with fights back in training camp. I'm most shocked by this. Between Coughlin and Marrone I would have expected more.

Were any of the detained players rookies? I'd guess the vets ran up the bill and put it on a rookie as some hazing. Rookies aren't as set as the vets and that could have caused a disagreement on who was paying and ended with them all just leaving.
