The Chiefs need to make it out of the first two weeks of camp. That's generally when most of these injuries happen.

I didn't really figure Verrett into the team plans for this year, (he's always been too frail). It is nice of the of the Chargers to dash my hopes before having any for a change. They usually wait until at least mid preseason to start the injury parade.
Now I can put all of my attention on the Leafs.

And they've already found a pretty good nickel and two outside corners. Verrett was more of a luxury assuming he could've stayed healthy.
