We're paying in to Ford, who hasn't earned it.

Ford is a 7-10 is sack guy per year. He's been injured but if he's healthy, teams would pay what they Chiefs are getting ready to pay for that.

Dee Ford is not a 7-10 sack guy per year.

In reality this is what Dee Ford is:

He’ll average a little over 6 starts per season.

He’ll average just over 4 sacks per season when he is playing.

He averages about 0.7 sacks per start.

*Durability is the problem. Stats tell us he can’t stay healthy and when he is healthy, expect a little over half a sack per game.

Hence, why I said when he's healthy.

If he's healthy, he's averaging half a sack a game. 8 sacks per season.

There was no way Erving was getting his 5th year option taken. It's not really news

I wonder if Ford would be a lot better in a role where he was more of a pass rush specialist, and he wasn't on the field as much? Maybe stay healthier, and add his speed to the pass rush?

I don't think he's terrible, and figure he's going to have a huge year this year. Be nice to have 3, 4 or even 5 deep when it comes to guys who can get after the QB. Instead of 2, and when one goes down the whole D goes to shit.

Im rooting for Ryan Hunter to be the starting center of the Chiefs. You know why? Because he is Canadian. And when he does become starting center of the Chiefs remember to thank me. Im calling it bros!

Still sticking with the theory that they're trying to groom erving as a tackle. Veach said when we traded for him they viewed him as a tackle coming out.

Wow this dude is really athletic and versatile:

The 22-year-old started 12 games at left tackle in 2017, 12 at right tackle in 2016, 14 at left guard in 2015 and played in all 14 games in 2014 even getting on the field as a fullback during his Bowling Green career. Just to weigh in on Morse, PFF gave him a pretty terrible 44.9 grade last year ranking him as the 29th best center. They gave Witzman a 40.6 grade, also terrible.

Amazing. I recall a saying a while back in that if a person can play all positions on the Oline, dude could also play center. Something along those lines don’t exactly remember but....yeah maybe he could be our future starting center? That would be nice. I’d buy him a pack of canadian bacon!

I'm not sure why it's so difficult for people to understand that Dee Ford's injury is cured - he had off season surgery to repair that nagging injury - it was the same injury over and over... He's now finally 100% - never understand the Ford hate.
