Cakes and Pies
Are you a cake man or a pie guy? And what about cheesecake? It's got cake in the name, but it's structured like a pie.

I'm talking desserts, not savory pies like a Shepard's pie (also delicious, but that's another topic), or the bizarre mashed potato/cornbread cake.

The best fruit pie? Dutch apple with a crumble crust. I'm also partial to the traditional carrot cake, with cream cheese frosting.

Yes indeed. My Dad was the Scout Master and he would bury the cast iron dutch oven in coals and the peach cobbler would come out to perfection every time it was something to look forward too because scouts cooked the food and you know it's harder to cook noodles up in the mountains.

I'm a pie man. Fruit pies to be specific. I do love german chocolate cake though. The other cakes can pretty much **** off. I can eat peach or blueberry pie like a boss.

Cheesecake and Pumpkin pie.

If it's traditional cake I prefer a simple yellow cake with butter cream frosting.

Apple pie with vanilla ice cream is also good, but it depends on how much crust there is. Some people overdo the crust ratio and ruin everything.

After that I'd rather go for just ice cream or a bowl of fruit.

Love meringue. Meringue cookies and especially a pavlova topped with fruit. So light and airy lower in fat if you skip on the crust on a lemon meringue pie, like I do when I don't make it.

That's an ASSumption of your own. It's a preference. I'm just not crazy about pecan pie and that's my reason. I'm allowed to have that opinion the same way some don't like cilantro because it tastes like soap to them, or the texture of certain foods.

Overall, I am not considered a picky eater. Maybe, you should check out my posts on what I do like in pie vs cake for an all-around take.

Well, it is gross. Skinny greasy overcooked burgers. Red Robin is even better. Plus they have the most delicious gluten-free buns. They're even gonna let me buy some in bulk.
