group of teens who recorded and mocked a disabled man as he drowned in Florida last week have been formally charged for their role in his death, authorities said on Friday.

The charges against the five teenagers who recorded and made fun of Jamal Dunn, 31, as he drowned in a pond on July 7, were not detailed in a press conference, News 13 reported.

But Cocoa Police Chief Michael Cantaloupe said there's no law requiring people to report to officials that someone is dying. After someone has died, however, people are required to contact authorities, he said.

Police are currently in the process of filing paperwork to the state’s attorney’s office, Cantaloupe said.

Community justice will prevail here. Since the victim's sister somehow obtained the video, their family knows who the teens are. Looking at the victim's mugshot, I can imagine that he might have some friends who would seek violent retribution.

Cocoa FL has gators everywhere. Nobody from Cocoa in their right mind would go near any body of water. I've had gators run along the side of my car while driving through Cocoa. I've also seen very large gators in swimming pool size retention ponds, in the salt water rivers and the ocean.

While there are many reasons they could not save him, that is not the biggest issue.

Hell the kids knew he was dead before the guys family posted him as a missing person.
