Berry is the only player on that list that is "good"

Parker is a Jag safety tweener, who is better in the slot.
Daniel 'try-hard' Sorenson does seem to have a knack for being around the ball
Murray is unknown

Oh yea, safety is just set.

Just like Gaines is a lock at starter and Ehringer is a lock for the Pro Bowl.

Change the name to Make-BelievePlanet.com instead of ChiefsPlanet.com

This is another bad post by Laz. Just like the LDT post.

Parker is not a JAG and neither is LDT. Parker is one of the best coverage safeties in the league and it was proven by analysis that LDT was one of the best pass blocking G's in football last year, and he actually was pretty good his first year starting in 2015 as well.

But carry on with the bitching.

It's ****ing Laz, just ignore him. He still thinks Parker played SS for most of 2016.

If anything, that's exactly what Sorenson was. He wasn't as steady as you'd like to see, but he made/created a shitload of plays.

I still think there's a good chance that somebody makes him an offer that we won't match (because we can't get draft compensation for him as a UDFA, IIRC), but I'd rather see him brought back than not.

He's replaceable, but not completely fungible.
Iirc Even if a player was undrafted, the team can still tender him higher that would get the team a draft pick in exchange...but it costs more money to do so.

I believe that Sorenson is a guy that will always be where he's supposed to be and he'll give you everything he's got on every play. But, he's not a guy that is going to overwhelm you with his talent or physical gifts. You obviously can't have a roster full of guys who are the best at their positions, but you want to upgrade if the possibility is there. He did very well with what he was asked to do, but I don't think he's capable of much more.

Holy shit Laz. Parker is a JAG now?

Steaming hot take there. He's been one of the most consistently good players on our team the past 3 years. He and Berry combine for one of the best 5 safety duos in the league easily IMO.

Remember, Laz thinks that Berry can play OLB and single-high at an NFL starter caliber level. In other words, in Lazland, you're a superhero.

So if you're a coverage safety who covers extremely well but can't...I dunno...play the piano, you just ****ing suck.

No, Ron Parker isn't a good tackler. He's never been a good tackler and he never will be. But he's a good coverage safety and in fact one of maybe 10 guys in the league that are capable of playing cover 1 effectively. He's damn valuable.

But again, Laz thinks he's supposed to be Steve Atwater because the Chiefs depth chart has him listed as a SS.

(That being said, he is getting old and expensive; if the right value fell to us, I'd definitely consider taking a safety in the first couple days of the draft. If Malik Hooker got caught toking up before the draft and fell to 27, I'd take him in a heartbeat, provided that the injury reports all check out after his surgeries).

Hooker will have to shred his ACL or have a domestic incident to make it to 27. But yes he would be awesome. I'm afraid SD will grab him.

He's always been a Jag at safety.

Ron Parker is in no way part of the best anything in the NFL.

Dude avoids tackles like he thinks he's Deon Sanders or something.

He's passable in the slot.

I imagine we'll be having the same discussion about LDT in a couple of years. Another Jag we are paying like they are actually an impact player.

Last year the same group of bullshitters insisted that Phillips Gaines was going to be a stud starter for us in 2016 and i was an idiot for not buying that garbage as well.

Before that, you guys thought it was a good idea to give Charles an extension

Before that, it was a good idea to pay Bowe

You guys are always the experts until you're wrong and then you pretend the shit never happened.

The nice thing(s) about Parker is he's been above average for the last 2.5 years, he hardly ever lets a player get past him, and he can sub in as a decent corner.

Did you enjoy watching Sorenson playing linebacker last year?

Did you phone in to some sport talk show and call sutton an idiot for that?
