Do you smoke cigarettes?

Well, do you? I'll guess the rate will be 24%. To find out how many Americans smoked in the past week, see here:

How does enjoying football correlate to smoking cigarettes?

That make zero sense.

Hawaii has anti-smoking laws at least as strong as CA.

I don't smoke anymore, but the anti-smoking people really piss me off. They aren't happy just keeping smoke away from themselves, they have to make it nearly impossible for anyone to smoke even outdoors if no one is around. They don't believe adults should have the freedom to make the decision themselves as long as it doesn't harm others, they have to be nannies and force everyone to do as they want. Freedom haters.

That sums up my former home state of California pretty well.

I am fine with it and wish they brought more restrictions to Missouri.

Tired of the overwhelming cigarette smell by the front door at many stores and shops I go to. My daughter shouldn't have to breathe that shit because people can't go somewhere off into the distance.

Here you can't be within 50 feet of a door or window. In some places that means there is no place to smoke at all, unless you want to stand in the middle of the street (in the state with the highest percentage of pedestrian fatalities).

Sounds reasonable to me. I think restrictions are fine when there are Public Health concerns where children and the at risk frequent.

I never agreed with smoking bans in bars, though.

I smoke at the bar sometimes and I'm way fine with banning it on the inside. I hated sitting in that haze going home throwing my clothes out the sliding door so my room didn't smell like an ashtray.

So let's say you are standing in a very large park. The nearest person to you is 100 yards or more away. Should you be able to smoke? Here you can't.

No smoking in parks.

Why the hell do people need to smoke in a park? Parks are for kids.

No. If you're that hooked go stink up your car.

Really? There is no way the second hand smoke will be breathed by anyone but the smoker, yet you won't let them smoke? Fascist.

What if I decide that I don't like something you do - although you doing it doesn't impact me at all - do you think it would be ok for me to ban it? You like to drink? **** you, I don't like it. No drinking for you. If you want to drink go home. That sound reasonable?

Last night my wife and I were walking to a restaurant. We were the only people on the street other than being vaguely aware of someone maybe 40 feet behind us. As we walked, I said, "Wow, do you smell cigarettes? Why am I smelling cigarettes so strongly?" We were walking along a street with downtown high-rises, so nothing could have been coming out of a building.

As we hit a stop light and waited, the person behind us came up, and she was smoking a cigarette.

If you're in a fresh-air environment, cigarette smoke (and marijuana) carry very strongly through the air. It was overpowering to me and I don't think I have a particularly strong sense of smell.

This right here.

Never tried any of it, and I'm pretty happy with my decision. Parents smoked and when I left it was so nice to be able to breathe and not have me or my clothes smell like an ashtray. So disgusting.

Bro I have every vice known to man in moderation. I'm far from fascist as can be.
I'm also thinking of the butt litter in public parks. Like I said, I'm a drop-in smoker, got nothing against them but in the right place and time.

You are talking about 40 feet. I am talking about 100 yards. You will not smell smoke at 100 yards. I don't smoke, but I walk within 50 yards of the smoking area at work every day and do not smell smoke.
