Chiefs Cut 11 Players
Chiefs Cut 11 Players
August 30th, 2015 at 10:12am CST by Rory Parks We learned yesterday that the Chiefs had cut guard Marcus Reed, tight end Adam Schiltz, and cornerback Kenneth Penny. Adam Teicher of ESPN.com tweets that the team has also cut the following eight players, bringing their roster down to 79. Kansas City must be down to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon: WR Kenny Cook T Anthony Dima LS Andrew East CB Aaron Hester DE Vaughn Martin WR Jeret Smith OL Charles Tuaau WR L’Damian Washington As Teicher adds in a separate tweet, East’s release indicates that the team has settled (for now, at least) on James Winchester as its long snapper. Winchester has never served as a long snapper in a regular season game. http://www.profootballrumors.com/chiefs-cut-11-players/ |

I haven't seen anything from Hammond that would indicate that he is anything more than a JAG.
Maybe he's just an extremely slow learner, i dunno, but getting pretty tired of waiting.

Maclin is not going to return punts unless we make it to the super bowl or something
we have tons of options other than maclin I bet West and Reaves can both do it maybe WR Williams or CB Peters as well I don't want to keep Hammond just because he's our backup punt returner.

He looks so slow doing it.
need more quickness would love to see Reaves try it, he has some quickness but still has some power to break arm tackles

I remember when Vaughn Martin was the next big thing. It seems that he could never match his production to the hype when he came out of Canada. I wonder why, too; he certainly had the physical attributes.

Fred Williams should make it. He's a smooth route runner and has done nothing but perform this preseason.
Hammond..I don't know. I'm not a fan of him. He's a bleh receiver and we have multiple guys capable of returning punts. |

Hammond isn't a great returner but he's solid and averaged 15 yards per punt return and 34 yards per KO return. He isn't great but has value. |
