Let's talk window tint
Decided to have the windows tinted on my Grand Prix daily driver Monday. It's an 01 Grand Prix GTP, 2 door. Dark red, or almost a maroon color.

What percentage should I have the windows tinted? I know 35% is legal on the front windows in Missouri, but was wondering if I could get away with doing 20% all around without attracting too much attention from Johnny Law.

Maybe 35% up front, and 20% on the quarters and rear?

What do you all think?

35% will be illegal because the window naturally refracts 9% on its own when they put the meter on the window

Fun fact. If you habitually keep illegal tint you can get arrested lol

We have around 50 officers on the street. Only two of them have a tint meter.

It keeps the heat out, increased security since you can't totally see what's in my car and cosmetically it makes most cars look better. I'll never not have tint on a car.

Keeps the car cooler, ac works more efficient and gives you a sense of privacy. Every car I've owned since I was 19 has had tint and I'm not planning on changing that ever

I do 35/15 always any darker is too much reversing at night etc.

I live in Florida and get the lowest legal tint. I didn't want to **** around. Don't like dealing with cops..

I have a friend that got 5% all around, which is illegal down here, and he got pulled over for it once. He said the cop claimed he has the authority to write separate tickets for each window below the legal limit. Like $140 per window. That's some bullshit.

Limo tint should be legal in ****ing Florida. It's hot as **** down here.
