Reality is though, they pursued him. They came out to Cali from Cleveland looking to get signed. They had him in mind when they headed that way. They called his offices for weeks trying to get a foot in the door. They even knocked on Tone Loc's door one day trying to get a deal....he told them to get lost though. Anyways, Eazy finally called them back weeks later, and Krayzie spit this for him over the phone:



After that phone call, he never got back with them. They found out he was doing a show in Cleveland a few weeks later, so they headed home and Bizzy & Flesh bum rushed him backstage at the concert and just started rapping. He asked if they were the same dudes he had talked to on the phone. They kicked it with him that night, and he brought them back to L.A. the next day.

I always liked Cube the best. He did most of their rapping from the start, though, so that's no surprise.

I really liked Eazy and Ren's voices.

Someone who rolled with them that I liked was The D.O.C.

yes he was a nice addition - Whirlwind Pyramid was a nice break from the Gansta Rap. That was a verbal beatdown of a song, back then.

not to quote myself - but one last note - since we're talking The DOC - the above track proved he could flow w/ any of those three or four others. In fact in THAT song - He is the best pure flow'er. AT LEAST with that song (Eaz being close #2.)

I believe I read somewhere that Cube was doing most of the writing as well. He was definitely the most talented rapper of the group.

I agree as far as liking Eazy and Ren's voices.

Also, Eazy was the one who gave Bone Thugs -n- Harmony a chance to shine, so he'll always have my respect. Although, if he were to have stayed alive much longer, I think him and Bone would have been beefin' because of the ****ed up contract they signed with him.

As it stands though, they show him love constantly.
