You gotta remember though with Allen's production last year it came from opportunity because of injuries from veterans. He was pretty much all they had to go with. With the Colts, if everyone stays healthy, there are a lot of weapons there with Wayne,Hilton,Nicks, and two TE's Allen and Fleener. Expecting a rookie WR, who normally are the least to do the biggest things in their first season, to come in there and steal away all that production away from those 5, not including the RB's is awfully big expectations.

I agree, but with the NFL continuing to strictly enforce defensive interference downfield, the ability of QB's with accuracy and arm strength (such as Luck) will attempt to take advantage of such situations. And with Moncrief's size and breakaway ability, and the Colts having the luxury of multiple receiving threats opening the field up, I can see Luck getting the ball to Moncrief in situations where he'll use that size and speed to his advantage.

There aren't many guys who are capable of running a laser timed 4.40 flat at 6'2 1/2", 225 lbs. who also have a 40" vertical. There are even less of those guys who have a QB like Luck throwing them the ball.

He wont see the field enough to warrant NFL Rookie POTY.

Wish we could have had Dri Archer though. That guy is gonna tear shit up in this league.

DAT will do...he's better than McCluster.

I doubt he's better than McCluster and Dex wasn't that great. Thomas might make it as a punt returner but that's about it. I didn't like his comments about how great he thinks he is. He needs to focus on special teams or he'll be out of the league in two years. I doubt he amounts to much.

600 yards and 3 TD is far more likely.

Having Moncrief's insane height/weight/speed combination in conjunction with Andrew Luck's vision and arm is going to absolutely be a deadly. In fact, right out of the gate, this is going to be one of the most deadly QB/WR combos in the NFL.

I bet he eclipses the Chargers' Keenan Allen's 2013 numbers.
It's official....Moncrief will suck ass

Eh...

Wayne is 35 years old and coming off a blown ACL eight months ago. I seriously doubt he'll provide anything of note from this point forward.

Hakeem Nicks is on a one-year deal after the Giants just let him walk.

Hilton is Donnie Avery. He's small and fast with bad hands and doesn't run good routes. He got 1000+ yards last season because the Colts didn't really have anyone else. If they can give that yardage to someone else, they'll happily do so.

Heyward-Bey is now in Pittsburgh.

There is only Whalen and Rogers left.

From their mini's, Andrew Luck on Moncrief:

Quote:
Do you have an impression of Donte Moncrief yet or is it too early?

Luck: "Yeah, great impression. Great teammate off the field, real awesome personality. On the field, smooth, big. I really think has an understanding of football. So yeah, it's fun to have him here and I think he'll do big things."

What does a big target like Donte Moncrief do for a quarterback?

Luck: "Well it's nice, great catch radius definitely helps. You feel like you can put the ball up there and have a lot of confidence that a guy will go up and make a play."
Dude is going to tear shit to pieces.
