Its amazing the love Brandon Carr gets. Good pick good player but hes not a #1 CB like folks on here claim. He went to Dallas and showed his ass.

I agree, dude. And the crazy thing is how abruptly peoples' opinions changed about him. I remember when it was pretty much a given that we weren't going to resign him, some people were all sorts of pissed off and I remember thinking, "wait a sec? When did he become so beloved the planeteers? Last I knew, people were wishing for him to die in the almighty burning AIDS tree." I was pretty confused about that for a while. I think that last year we had him, a lot of people were warming up to him, but I swear, there were a couple few years where most people on here seemed to think he was a turd sandwich.

I think it was his ankle (which would explain his sub par play) in 2013. The shoulder usually hurt his tackling, but not his cover ability. That's my thinking. Flowers's style leaves him 'dinged' up most of the year because of his size. I mean even when he plays he's usually playing hurt. That wears on the body. They seem to be getting more frequent and obviously the NFL isn't going to become the pillowfight league... so it will probably continue to be an issue. Especially the shoulder, which has been an issue for years now. I'm a fan of flowers. A guy without the crazy athletic ability of most CB's but with instincts, intelligence, and ferocity that made up for it. It's too bad he couldn't hold up. The guy was top notch for years and it's sad so many KC fans won't view him that way. This is a guy who busted his body up, badly, for these fans. However to some of them he just wasn't tall or fast enough... how well he actually covered people doesn't seem to matter. |
