What a horrible head scratching kind of draft

Fisher is a good pick...so is Nico Johnson somewhat as it at least addresses a hole. Everything else is a god damn head scratcher. Knile butterfingers Davis? Cmon....a TE that early? What the hell is going on?

When was the last time that was true? And when he's on the field you can count on him to fumble the ball. Great pick.

Funny how that works out. Maybe we aren't all so stupid after all.

Hopefully this will be the rare offseason in the last decade plus where we're actually wrong.
CP loved the 2008 draft and we were right. There was a ton of love for the Berry and Asomoah picks in '09, they were right. Folks loved the Houston pick, they were right. Though a lot of people were also in love with the Hudson pick and I don't see that one being great.

The collective wisdom on CP has largely been accurate. Yet every year it's the same old shit from the people that refuse to grab a nut and think for themselves.

Don't worry, we just need to tank some more games to get high draft picks for 2-3 years, and that will fix everything.

That's definitely true.

I still laugh to this day about how upset I was over drafting Ryan Sims instead of Wendell Bryant.

I hope so. In another thread he was compared to Gronk. If that is true then it makes up for a lot. Just don't understand why he wasn't on everyone's radar if so.

Yeah.

We had the best overall draft out of every team. The Chiefs did kick the shit out of that draft.

Here's what I'll say. A lot of us aren't always right when picking a specific player to be the right guy, but we are almost always accurate when knowing if someone is the wrong guy.

Let me say it again...
The only reason people hate the draft is because of the 2nd round pick we gave up for Alex Smith, and because we didn't find a replacement for him. It has little to do with who we ended up picking.

In the end, there's a very good chance Fisher, Kelce, and Nico Johnson are players who impact right away. Commings is a good depth guy and potential starting safety. And the rest of the guys are high risk/high potential guys. It's not as bad of a draft as people want it to be. As I've said before, if the Chiefs find a way to trade Branden Albert and if Geno Smith is anything short of a franchise QB, then this could end up being a good draft.

Yes, it comes down to ownership. The guy who has shelled out a ton of cash to fix a mistake, and a ton of cash to hire proven people in this business. Yes, likes to spend money but doesn't care about winning.

Some of you honestly aren't qualified to discuss Pee Wee Football.

I don't think it's a bad draft, it's just not a sexy draft so that's going to get complaints.
