USA vs Mexico at 9:30 on ESPN. Coverage starts an hour before.

Huge game...odds are stacked against the USMNT but they have a lot of momentum whereas Mexico has been sputtering in the Hex. Two Kansas City players representing the US tonight as Graham Zusi is a probably starter in midfield and it even looks like Matt Besler could possibly start at CB.

Any KC'ers want to get in on a watch party Johnny's Tavern (downtown) will be full with US fans and the American Outlaws tonight.

It's true Men's soccer is more intense and exciting, but when your country's team looks middle of the road when it matters, in the actual World Cup, it gets a little tiresome and you move on to the ones who are winning.

Go back through American sports history. I mean imagine if you had Wilt playing as a forward. They may have changed the size of the penalty box much like they did the lane. Barry Sanders? Actually saw Darren Sproles play in junior high. It was amazing what he could do....

I'm pretty stoked for this game. Too bad it's on a work night, because I bet Johnny's will be a great time tonight. I cooked Frijoles Charros(any excuse to cook Mexican food is a good one IMO), and am having some cold ones at home though. Also, even though my girlfriend is Mexican-American, I'm USA all the way when it comes to my sports.

I don't think soccer will ever be considered a major sport in this country, especially since the MLS pales in comparison to other leagues across the globe.
