So out of the blue, an old friend of mine from Costa Rica emailed me and tells me that he now lives in Pattaya, about a half mile from Walking Street and the beach. We were in the off-shore sportsbook business in CR, and now he's doing something similar out of Thailand. Says he gets up at 7am, plays 18 holes, and then hangs out in the bars and gets blowjobs and sex the rest of the day. Now I'm not sure, but that sounds like the type of program I could really get with. I've always wanted to go, but having someone there who knows the lay of the land (i.e., how to avoid the ladyboys) has cemented it, I think. Thinking about going for a couple weeks late this summer...

Anyone from CP ever go to Pattaya? Any stories? Or better yet, any photos?

Try as you might, it's absolutely impossible to make me feel guilty for not following the "rules" that other people have put in place for me in terms of growing cannabis, betting on sports, and having sex with 18+ year old Asian women who are willing partners. Nanny-staters may have a hard time dealing with this fact, but that's their problem. I live life the way I want to live it--without hurting others--and I leave the rest to people like you. And I don't bet illegally offshore (or legally on-shore), by the way. I just used to work in the industry because I wanted a 2-year expenses paid working vacation in Costa Rica. Except for my noted civil disobedience in terms of not following an antiquated, misguided, greed-driven Federal policy regarding cannabis cultivation, I'm not that much of a gambler.

I think it's great. You're happy peddling weed. You did a two year stint in the illegal internet gambling trade, but it wasn't a big deal because you were close to the beach. And you are thrilled about going to hammer prostitutes (I'm sure someone checked their ID and they are actually thrilled to be in the business because having some drunk American sweat all over them while trying to talk them into putting into their ass 12 times a day is so much better than a life on the farm) in Thailand because you'll see your buddy and play a round of golf.

All i know is that my best army pal got to go there for Cobra Gold wargames and would NOT shut up about how incredibly beautiful and soft the women are there for atleast two months.

Gotta say, i was jealous, it sounded like a paradise from the women to the food.

Saccopoo, i think you're being a bit hard on the guy... i highly doubt they're all just these ravaged and put upon types you're describing, the way i've heard it is that that chosen life gives them a higher standard of living than many other people in that country. And not everyone is going over there for 12 year olds.

Seriously why the **** do you care? Nothing wrong with traveling to exotic lands and sampling the local poon. It's not for everybody, and it doesn't automatically mean sex with underage girls.
