I'm 49 and I used to go trick-or-treating until I was about 15 or 16. I used a pillow case and always filled it at least once and about 1/4 of the second round. I used to stay out until 9pm-that was the limit Now people shut their doors at 8pm and a ton of people just got out to avoid giving out candy. Very different and another lost tradition......

We always have a small amount of candy available just in case, but we never get trick or treaters because we're too rural.
I haven't eaten any and don't really have any desire to do so.

We had bunches, ran out of candy about 7:00 and had to put up a sign that we were out.
Had a kid party after trick-or-treating and the kids handed out most of the candy, which is probably part of why it disappeared so fast.

We have a house up the street that hands out packages of Top Ramen noodles and a can of soda pop. The kids don’t get it but the Mrs. and I think it’s hilarious.

I was surprised at how well the cans of Busch Light went over. Had a few trick-or-treaters come back for seconds. One staggered back for a third. Great kids in our area.
