Grits

I know they are very common in the South but feel they are an underrated breakfast food.

Tough to beat some cheese grits and bacon.

Nah. I eat them plain with salt, pepper and eggs as well. I grew up eating garlic cheese grits as described though. Just had those this weekend actually cooked by my 75 year old mother for my brothers and all our kids.

Moved to Charlotte, NC and worked for Citifinancial. Southern black gentleman that suggested grits and cheese with shrimp to me. Fell in love and never had anything like it since. Have a sad, missing it.
