Chiefs Underdogs in 5 Games This Year

Didn't see this anywhere. Maybe bet the over? (9)

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2017/5...-in-all-others

Cantor Technology has released the point spreads for every Kansas City Chiefs game (via ESPN) this year and I count five games where the Chiefs are underdogs. They are favored in all the other games. The Chiefs underdog games are all on the road, which makes sense. I don’t really have any qualms with these lines.

The Chiefs are a touchdown underdog against the Patriots in Week 1 and a 1-point ‘dog in Houston. They are 3-point ‘dogs at Oakland but 3-point favorites when the Raiders visit Arrowhead.

Outside of New England, the Chiefs longest odds are at Dallas where they’ll play the Cowboys. We’ll see about that one because I’m not convinced the Cowboys are as good as they were last year.

The rest of the lines sound about right to me. I’m kinda surprised they’re not bigger favorites hosting the Eagles in Week 2 - 4 points. They’re also a 1.5-point favorite over the Steelers after last year’s playoff loss.

Underdogs: at Patriots, at Texans, at Raiders, at Cowboys, at Giants

There are no Week 17 odds yet in case a team has clinched and sits their starters or something like that.

Quote:
Week 1

Chiefs at Patriots (-7)

Week 2

Eagles at Chiefs (-4)

Week 3

Chiefs (-1.5) at Chargers

Week 4

Redskins at Chiefs (-5)

Week 5

Chiefs at Texans (-1)

Week 6

Steelers at Chiefs (-1.5)

Week 7

Chiefs at Raiders (-3)

Week 8

Broncos at Chiefs (-3)

Week 9

Chiefs at Cowboys (-6.5)

Week 10

BYE

Week 11

Chiefs at Giants (-2)

Week 12

Bills at Chiefs (-6)

Week 13

Chiefs (-4.5) at Jets

Week 14

Raiders at Chiefs (-3)

Week 15

Chargers at Chiefs (-6)

Week 16

Dolphins at Chiefs (-4.5)

Not an Alex hate thread. I don't hate Alex at all. He is what he is. I don't expect him to carry a team. If all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place (D is top 5 in points against, special teams TD's, top 5 OL, Maclin returns to glory and Reid doesn't shit the bed with game management) KC can make the playoffs and maybe draw a good first round game.

Notice how the Pats, Steelers, Falcons or Cowboys don't need everything to go perfectly for their team to be a SB contender.

A few little nicks to Jeremy Maclin though and this team is ****ed!

You are correct Tiger!

Management saw what you saw, which is why they traded up to draft a QB to help us beat those teams.

whatever it takes, I say.

If they need a season closer to come in... backyard ballin' and chuckin' up deep ones to beat the best of the AFC, bring him in. Smith's been good for what he is, but if he won't be more than that, yeah.. have to make other arrangements.

Just make sure Mahomes can become a fully balanced QB down the road as well.

Then you realize we still have Alex Smith and will lose in the first or second round.

I'm still concerned about our pass rush. Dee Ford has yet to prove he can be effective on the weakside. That's where we really need him.

That's one reason why I was slightly down in Kpassagnon, but I'll let things play out

One thing about Dee Ford; he gets better every year. Dude had 10 sacks last year which is a great number.

Hope he gets 15 this year

I disagree.

I think he's become an excellent 2nd and 3rd down rusher. He just has to not be a giant labia in the running game.

It's not like Hali was great in coverage...
