OK, somewhere along the way, I *totally* missed something about Phobia

So someone necroed an old thread of mine from 2002 regarding Phobia (looks like it was sent to Romper Room?). I know he hasn't been around in years, and, apparently, his account has been deleted. What happened? He seemed like a nice enough guy, always civil, if I remember correctly. Was there some type of falling out?

Along those same lines, whatever happened to Endelt? He used to post as much as Clay does now. Didn't Phobia go out to AZ or something to build him a deck?

I hadn't thought about either one of those two guys for years until someone brought that thread up.

Any info would be appreciated.

I don’t know why he deleted his account and left, but Phobia found God and became too self-righteous to be a good moderator (IMO) which led to some pushback/confrontation from posters like Frazod and Saul Good. I assume that it wasn’t fun being a board heel. Also, as much of a message board pro as he was, he was kind of thin skinned and seemed to hold a grudge at times.

Great guy irl, though I’m sure. As much credit as others deserve, Phobia built this place and he was a great poster. He probably just continued to grow up and take on real life responsibilities and didn’t have time for this place.

If there is a better story out there of the internet and real life crossing over, I've yet to hear it.

Sometimes things just run their natural course and people move on.

He seemed like a good poster and fine person in the short time I interacted with him. I also saw the name Saul Good mentioned and thought he was pretty cool as well.

Life has a habit of getting in the way of posting on CP for many.

I hit it off with Phil on the Star BB. I liked the fact that he couldn’t stand the same people on that Board that I couldn’t stand

He kind of lost his way a couple of times here, but I’m happy he’s found a good spot away from this Board. I wish him well.

You have to give credit where it's due.

Nobody else would have even THOUGHT of that.

I figured Phobia was gone for good when Fatchatter folded, and he didn’t come back here right away

It’s kinda funny how many guys have left for good... him, Brock, Deez Nuts, Talking Can, Dane etc

Their choice to be a fan!

I remember those days well now, a lot of people really didn't like his approach to how he was recruiting people from the Star... I remember mostly the long posted arguments unfortunately. If it wasn't for him I would have never even batted an eye towards this place, I basically lurked for several years in interest of what all the fuss was about.

FTR, neither Deez nor TC ever had anything to say to me, so I dont miss them a bit... there has always been, and always will be, a handful of guys here who feel they're too cool to engage with the crowd

They prefer to keep it within a certain select group who they think are the cool kids... annoying front runners who think their football acumen is too good for the madding crowd

I guess I didn't really think about Brock, Deez and TC being gone. All of their final posts happened while I was exiled. While TC, like Dane, announced he was leaving and left, Brock and Deez just quit posting. Hope nothing bad happened to them.

Never really engaged much with TC, but Deez was a really good dude and a great poster. The “What happened to Brock” mystery may never be solved....
