Maybe a category with "ascending," "there" and "descending" might be appropriate as well. "There" meaning they have reached their ceiling or close to it.
If I were picking, I would pick in this order: Eli-there Brady-there Rodgers-there Luck-Ascending RGIII-Ascending Roethesberger-there Ryan-Ascending Newton-Ascending Brees-Descending Peyton-Descending Flacco-Ascending Cutler-there Romo-there Rivers-descending Palmer-descending Shaub-there Bradford-ascending Tannehill-ascending Sanchez-ascending Vick-there Stafford-ascending Freeman-ascending Wilson-ascending Ponder-ascending Dalton-ascending Locker-ascending Smith-ascending Wheedon-ascending Gabbert-ascending Fitzpatrik-ascending Kolb-ascending Cassel-will never get there and can not descend any further than whale shit on the ocean floor. |

I like Ryan alot, but he doesnt have elite arm strength on his deep balls. His recievers sort of have to hold up and wait for them to drop at times.

Why do you not consider Roethlisberger, Flacco and E. Manning elite?

For now, Ryan is basically a younger version of Matt Schaub.

My list isnt meant to be a 1-32 ranking. Its just different tiers in no numerical order.
I agree its debatable what category Vick belongs in but hes somewhere in these: Good, but have reached plateau: Jury still out, have upside with question marks: Bottum Rung:

Revised my list as of today...Oct 14 2013.
Do you agree? Should Eli and Big Ben still be in the top category??

Eli is far from Elite this year with 15 sacks and 5 fumbles.

No. Definitely not Eli. He was always mediocre, IMO, and this season is down right horrible.
